Here it is, finally, the first trailer for The Matrix Resurrections. This is a film that many Matrix fans hoped to one day see, but I don’t know if anyone believed it would actually happen.
Here we are. Our heroes, Neo and Trinity, have returned after the events of The Matrix Revolutions, and we don’t know how, or why. At least not yet.
I have my own theories about how they could have returned, and why they look the same now as they did before. But I could be way off.
This is a theory I have had since they announced that Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss would be returning in a sequel. I have a feeling that when the Matrix needs to create additional people to help to power the system, the people they create are clones created from DNA held in a sort of codex. This would be similar to the Krypton Codex from Superman lore. If this is the case, it could lend more credibility to a theory I have long held that each of the previous versions of the One looked exactly the same as the One we all saw in the prior three films.
