V for Vendetta DVD Release Date Announced

Warner Bros. home video has announced the official DVD release date for V for Vendetta to be August 1st. The film will be available in both standard and special editions, the latter release containing a Special Features disc with the following content:

Designing the near future
Remember Remember: Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot
England Prevails: V for Vendetta and the New Wave in comics
Cat Power Montage
Theatrical Trailer
SNL digital short (Hidden)

The August 1st release date is not mentioned with reference to a geographic area; Australia, for example, appears to get the release eight days later.
