Speed Racer writer Toriumi dies at age 78
Novelist and screenwriter, Jinzo Toriumi died of liver cancer last Thursday morning at a hospital in Shinjuku.
Toriumi was involved in many television projects throughout his career including anime projects for Tatsunoko Production. He planned and wrote series like Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, Yatterman and Mach Go Go Go aka Speed Racer.
