This comes by way of IGN FilmForce. Take it with a grain of salt, see how early it is… but then again, Lord of the Rings did the same thing.
If you’re anticipating The Matrix Reloaded like I am, then you’ve probably been foaming at the mouth over every little bit of Matrix news that’s beamed around the Internet. If that’s the case, then grab a mop because you’ll be salivating like a Pavlovian puppy over this IGN FilmForce exclusive. We’ve managed to get our grubby little paws on a description of the teaser trailer for The Matrix Reloaded. Keep in mind, things could change before the trailer is released, so consider this report a rumor until you see it for yourself. But when you do see it, remember who loves you the best…IGN FilmForce!
The screen is black, when we start to hear the sound of the binary code, like in the original. Just one green letter of the Matrix falls down the screen, followed by another, and then another. Suddenly, they multiply and the entire screen is covering in green letters flowing down it. The letters continue falling vertically downward, faster. The sound stops and the code keeps moving faster until it blurs into a series of images: Trinity, Neo, and Morpheus.
The sound of an explosion is heard as the screen flashes white, and then back to pitch black.
A man’s voice reads the computer text that appears on the screen: “Reload your Love.” This is followed by a few seconds of quickly cut images showing Neo and Trinity. Doing what? It’s a mystery.
Another line of text appears and is read: “Reload your Gun.” Another few seconds of quick cutting images, this time showing Neo having a shootout with agents. In one shot he is completely surrounded by agents.
A third line of computer text appears: “Reload your Mind.” Multiple scenes from the film are then shown, in a montage that lasts a little under 10 seconds. There’s a scene when Morpheus phones himself out of the Matrix just as an agent fires at him, only to shoot air.
The film’s release date appears on the screen as the narrator dramatically says, “Get ready!”
Does that rock out or what? I’m super stoked for this trailer! There’s no word on when it could be in theaters, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned up this fall or during the holidays.
